ASTPAI/ BRACKETS CLOSED/ MIGRE LE TIGRE - Eastern Europe Tour 2012

good news! We’re happy to announce that we’re a steady fourpiece again! We had some cool rehearsals with our british friend Jak Holmes, who moved to austria about one year ago, and immediately felt comfortable with him being part of the band.

Jak is already fully involved in the whole recording-process of our second full-length and ready to play some nice tours and shows next year; and we’re more than happy to have him on board!

If you don’t know him yet, please feel free to check out the Acoustic Solo-Project Jak is also busy with.

As mentioned, we’re currently busy recording some songs and decided to take a break from playing live for some time. Expect to see us back on stage somwhere around next spring! We’re currently planning a small tour (thanks to Zock on this!) and some album-release shows in austria..

we’ll play some shows upcoming week together with Astpai, among those also support for The Flatliners (can) in Munich!

Unfortunately, neither Stefan nor Martin found time for some days of fun and music, but we gladly found more than appropriate replacements: Zock (Astpai) will fill in on drums and Andi, who played drums on our last tour in April, will take care of the guitar this time!

We had two short rehearsals last week, which should be enough, haha, and are really looking forward to some cool shows.

as already mentioned in our previous update, stefan & me spent the last three days at almighty Tom’s S.T.R.E.S.S.-Studio, Graz, to record drums for our upcoming album. Working with Tom is always great, and we really enjoyed the whole recording-process. I managed to shoot some super-crappy pics – you find them below..

Well, that was the first step. Some groovy bass-lines should follow.. We’ll keep you guys up-to-date!

quite some time since our last update. we are sad to announce that our guitar-player and long-time friend martin decided to leave the band after more than a year, including our first tour to western europe and all in all 37 shows as well as some demo and pre-pro recordings for our upcoming album. We very appreciate all the effort and time as well as inspiration und musical ideas Martin put and brought into the band.

sorry for the lack of updates. All four of us have been really busy the last weeks, nevertheless we finally managed to complete booking our tour together with The Liberation Service. So, here are the dates:

As already announced, our friend Andi will help us out on drums on tour, since Stefan is busy with work. We’re glad that Andi’s willing to do that and are really looking forward to the tour by now.

the bad news first: we decided to cancel the release of the brackets closed 7inch we had announced for this month. all the recording stuff took longer than expected, mainly because of the fact that all 4 of us had the flu at some point the last months and also because we’re incredible uncoordinated (and a little bit lazy); and – above all – we’re all in all not very confident with the songs per se anymore. but – and that’s the good news – we’re still planning to release those recordings in one or another way, maybe even as a free-download.

furthermore, we have to announce that stefan, our drummer, will be absent on most of our shows till may. but don’t worry, we’re still going to play all of the shows with our substitute-drummer “nitz”. you don’t know him yet, but you’re going to like him, we promise!

our first show will be on march, 19th at GH Farkas in Rotenturm together with the dudes from The Liberation Service and Soey. Would be awesome to see a bunch of you guys out there!

We’ll hit the studio again in christmas holidays to record two brand-new songs for our upcoming 7-Inch, which is scheduled for March 2011. Furthermore, we currently have about 20 new songs (we already released a pre-pro-recording of a few of them on our “What Colour Is Your Life?”-EP) and are still in the process of writing and texting some more, but want to have everything finished till early january to start another pre-production for our next full-length. If everything works out fine you’ll be able to hold our new album in your hands by not later than early 2012.

Oh yeah, and we’re gonna play some shows in march/ april and still have a lot of free dates, so if anybody want’s to help us out, please get in touch! You find everything you need in our “Show“-section.
